Our initial BCBA assessment is a thorough, data-driven process designed to build a complete picture of your child’s needs. We typically administer standardized tools, such as the VB-MAPP assessment, during the initial evaluation period, which usually takes place within the first few sessions.
During this time, our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will conduct several key activities right in your home:
- Caregiver Interviews: We meet with you to discuss your child’s developmental history, daily routines, and specific goals. WE COUNT ON OUR PARENTS, and your insights are vital to this process.
- Direct Observation: The BCBA observes your child in their natural environment to see how they interact with their surroundings and identify what motivates them.
- Standardized Evaluations: We use the VB-MAPP assessment to measure language and social milestones, alongside a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) to understand the purpose behind any challenging behaviors.
This careful approach ensures we can create a personalized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) that targets communication, play, and self-care. You’re not on your own—we guide you through every step to ensure A Bright Future is Waiting for Your Child.
Results may vary based on individual patient circumstances. Please consult with a healthcare professional for diagnosis or treatment advice.
