- Collaborative School Support: We suggest meeting with your child’s teacher to share specific ABA targets. Providing a one-page “skill card” that lists three key behaviors and the reinforcement techniques that work at home can help the teacher maintain consistency in the classroom.
- Natural Environment Teaching (NET): We practice school-like scenarios at home—such as raising a hand, waiting for a turn, or following group instructions—to prepare your child for real-world classroom moments.
- Consistent Communication: We recommend using a shared communication log or a simple notebook to keep our BCBAs, RBTs, and school staff aligned. This ensures everyone is using the same prompts and reinforcing the same skills.
- Motivation and Tracking: You can use a sticker chart or a daily check-in note to help your child report their successes at school. We also use maintenance probes (periodic, un-prompted checks) to verify that these skills are truly sticking in new settings.
